Nick Sanders

Nick is an accomplished Commercial Property lawyer, working out of the Lewes office, and is the head of the firm’s Commercial Department. Nick acts for both corporate and private clients on various property transactions, both freehold and leasehold, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and re-financing. Nick also handles sales and purchases of unincorporated businesses.

Simon Baillie Hamilton.

Simon Baillie Hamilton

Simon is based at the firm’s Lewes office and specialises in Agricultural matters including farm and estate sales, purchases and lettings. He also advises on all aspects of commercial property transactions and deals with small business sales. Simon has a dual professional qualification being a rural Chartered Surveyor as well as a solicitor. He is a professional member of the National Farmers Union and a member of the Agricultural Law Association. Simon has recently been recognised by Chambers UK as a leader in the field of Agricultural Law.

Helen Bell.

Helen Bell

Helen advises both commercial and private clients in relation to disputes arising out of contract and negligence and particularly specialises in property litigation. Helen’s experience in property disputes include disputes on title, adverse possession, rights of way and boundary disputes, obtaining possession from tenants, licensees or squatters and all types of landlord and tenant issues. Helen is a member of the Academy of Experts and an accredited mediator.

Richard Brown

Richard is based at the Firm's Brighton office where he deals with a wide range of commercial property transactions with a particular emphasis on leasehold work. Richard looks after a wide range of clients across Sussex, including a number of portfolio landlords and developers as well as private clients.

Scott Gair.

Scott Gair

Scott is based at the firm's Brighton office and specialises in a range of Commercial work. The majority of Scott's work comprises the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, but he also undertakes Licensing work as the firm's non-contentious Licensing expert. Scott has additional expertise in Intellectual Property, in particular Copyright law, and acts for a number of professional photographers.

Desh Patel.

Desh Patel

Desh is a solicitor in the commercial department and advises on general corporate and commercial matters, together with commercial property matters. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Desh worked in the City of London for the U.S firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, where he worked on various UK corporate transactions, in particular mergers and acquisitions, for both corporate buyers and sellers.

Linda Saunders.

Linda Saunders

Described in Chambers Directory 2009 as offering “wonderful value for money and a great breadth of knowledge,” Linda handles all manner of planning matters, from infrastructure agreements to compulsory purchases and appeals and high court challenges. Her clients range from individuals and small businesses to regional house builders. Recent large-scale projects have included advising the Worthing and Brighton City Colleges on major redevelopment and relocation schemes. She also advises on listed buildings, while her expertise in Section 106 agreements was illustrated by advising Celtic Motors on securing planning consent for the Landmark in E 14 from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
